As the young pup seemed more and more confused by the moment he couldnt hep but smile a bit. Despite the young male nodding he had the destinct feeling of the little one not understanding. As he looked to the alfa he followed the young ones look and meet the females icy blue eyes. "True, thats most likely what the alfa would do, and Im no diferent, I would do the werry same thing to keep you and your sister safe"he promissed the young one. As the litle female spoke up he looked at her gently wagging his tail again, making the ground behind him cleaned and polished. THis really is the spotting image of a newborn pack, two adults and a few pups, playing, training, growing, forming into what will in the end become two strong wolves, two wolves that can both werry well be the spitting image of perfection. Night and day, one strong and outgoing, the other a bit more introverted and was thinking before he acted, eager to learn anything.

Mysty smiled over at Rhodry, silently thanking him for the comment. She was sure wether the pups expressed it or not they appreciated it. The alpha in her nodded at his calm and easy demeanor. For surely no other type of wolf would have been able to join her pack with the pups so young. Mysty was glad that Rhodry showed up when he did, it was a sign if any she saw one. With him joined it ensured a future for the pack, if he knew it or not. One of them would be able to hunt while the other watched the pups. Even if for the next few weeks as they begin learning the basics. Plus all would be well fed, and the territory more securely watched. Threats wouldn't seem so dire with two adults now...Mysty continued smiling as she got up and took a deep drink from the stream.

As the calm and relaxed feeling was spreading between them all four he smiled a bit. As the alfa went to the creek he looked at her before getting up on his paws and shaked his entire body. Twiggs and leaves falling of his fluffy tail. After most of the debray in his tail had fallen of he walked up to Myst and drank next to her. After all, a pack sleeps, walk, hunt, play and lives togeather. So just to get into the routine a bit he drank as she did. A bold frog leapt out of what he asumed was its winterhome and landed just infront of him, making the fresh cold water splash into his face. Surpriced he jumped backwards staring at the frog before giving up a bit of a upset sound. This was really humiliating, but the frog had surpriced him so much that he had jumped by reflexes.A bi anoyed he walked upp to the bold frog and growled a bit. THe frog aperantly not villing to be dinner bow up his body and jumped towards Rhodry who countered by hitting the frog with his paw so the frog went flying into a bush that had just begun to waken up from the wintersleep. He took a small leap across the small creek and trotted up to the frog that jumped towards him again, seemingly anoyed for the sudden flight.

Mysty lifted her head in surprise, not in the frog but the wolf. Rhodes jumped back so suddenly she couldn't help but bark out a laugh. Even the pups stopped their playing to giggle at the large Rhodry. "Um... I didn't know you were scared of frogs, but did you really need to punt it like that because you know your like a hundred time bigger than it." Mysty continued to laugh out of the shear silliness of life right now.

He looked at her, a bit embarassed and anoyed. "Im not scared, just surpriced!" he replied before looking at the frog that insisted on trying to make him move. "He started it" he pointed out while he pushed the stubborn frog away. with a slight growl the frog finally gave up and jumped away. Happy with this he layed down on the ground.

Mysty moved closer to Rhodry while making a small cooeing sound that she did for the pups to comfort them. "As, its okay we all have fears...Just normally not frogs." Her voice was calm and teasing as she moved to lay down by him. The pups noticing no further entertainment was to be provided decided on a game of tag. As Mysty looked out as far as the eye could see she noticed her medium length red and white fur was brushing against his. She kept her face forward and continued looking at her territory, her ears never stopping in their scan for any noise that did not belong.

He looked at her ignoring her teasings words. He really isnt scared of frogs, it had mearly surpriced him. And the frog had been having the nerv to challange him?! That was really humuliating, for any wolf. probably okey for a pup thought since they arnt as big but a grown wolf, challanged by a simple frog. That damaged the confidence a bit to be honest. As she layed down next to him he felt his fur beeing moved gently so he glansed to it, seeing it touch hers, almost blending with it. Calmly he looked around, his ear paing atention to the sounds around him and his nose the smells. He didnt hear any weird noises nor did he notice any strange smells either. Just the normal ones.

Mysty inhaled deeply, exhaling it in the form of a sigh. She glanced quickly at Rhodry before looking back to the emerald forest surrounding them. " I didn't grow up in a normal pack, I know that now." Briefly slipping up in her alpha ways she licked her nose nervously. Rhodry had seemed content to relax and simply sit, so she wanted to let him know what trial he would have being with her and the pups. " I have always been a mixture of emotions and desires, The pack I grew in would never allow this.So I left in search of a new place to call home, a new family." Her throat tightened a bit as she thought of all the many things she had tried and failed at. " I want to be a great alpha, to a full and happy pack on prospering territory, I got one right so far." Not really sure she could look at Rhodry as she explained things Mysty looked to the pups as they ran around the many trees and piles of leaves littering the ground. Every so often they would chase a critter that got in their sights, but would promptly return to continue their games. Keeping her head high Mysty tried to swallow down the lump in her throat. " There is something I havent told anyone before, I may tell the pups some day but they dont need the burden so young." Laying her heard on her paws she slightly lifted her eyes toward Rhodry, seeing his large paws comforted her in the fact she wasnt alone. " Much to my parent thoughts I had found myself a nice little pack soon after going out on my own, they were a great family and I had them nearly a whole year before the two legs showed up." She noticed she was breathing really heavily. However Mysty saw no way to correct it, she never did. " I was two at the time and alpha, the oldest wolf was five. One lazy spring day...They came with traps and guns, everyone panicked having not seen two legs before." The softest of whimpers past her lips as she prepared for the final parts of her story. Her whole body felt heavy as she said " I was only able to help save one, a mere pup. At a year old Ivy...She couldn't...She couldn't handle the harsh mountains we fled through as we headed towards this forest." Her words began getting softer and softer as pain of the memories flooded her. Mysty was glad for this part the pups had run far off chasing a squirrel, they couldn't hear her break down but she could still see them . " So you see I'm not really a good anything, I'm just hoping that I'm enough for the pups, I still dream though and you make my dreams feel a little more reachable." Twisting her head to face away from Rhodry Mysty knew she couldn't stop the trembling that took over her body. She had a pack before and failed them, some were dead and others abducted by two legs and unknown fates...

As Myst begun to talk he looked at her giving her his atention while still keeping an ear to the pups. As her mood sunk so did his. He could easly tell that this made her feel uncomfterbal. So he didnt spoke, he just looked, for each word that she spoke h feelt her sorrow rise, and with it so did his, it clearly pained her a lot. And to be honest he cant understand how much. He just cant. Quietly he let his head rest upon her back buffing gently. "I cant really imagine how it felt, and I doubt anything I say will really help. But I will tell you this anyway. The pups looks really healthy, and so does you. You are clearly doing a great job with them. Your not bad with pups at all. And your not a bad alfa, they trust you without hesitation and so do I. I trust you as much as I can" he replied looking at her. After a while he removed his head from her back and let it lay next to hers. "I know I cant really say anything to help you right now but im here for you, trusting you" he said promissing.

(Aw thanks, I've had her background story for a while but didn't know how or when to integrate it in the story so now was good time as any...Honestly had a more detailed telling but I'm sure it can be added later if she feels the need...)

( the pups actual adult fur is coming in. So their black fur is turning different. For Terrin his fur will be dark grey sprinkled with lighter Greys and white while Tia is turning her dark fur into a champagne and white color... Yes her eyes will be white like that.)

Smiling weakly Mysty nudged Rhodry' s side in thanks for the comfort he brought. Looking up as the sound of the pups coming closer drew her attention Mysty willed her body to stop trembling. Tia and Terrin were running full speed ahead, directly for her. As they crashed into her larger body she made a 'ooof' sound, they were a bit bigger than last she remembered. "Woo, little ones your a bit big for that. You might have left a bruise there." As their faces fell the alpha laughed, lightening their moods and letting them know she had been joking. Lightly she licked both of their faces, knowing they had come over having at least a small idea their surrogate mother was upset. Smiling sown at them Mysty noticed Tia' s fur was lightening up a lot, it may turn close to white. Her pale blue eyes were also lightening as well, as if also trying to turn white. Mysty could only help but think it was a very unique for a very special wolf. Looking over to her brother The alpha noticed that where her sister was lightening up Terrin was getting darker. His blue eyes had began getting a golden hue to them. His black fur was starting to turn to a deep and very dark grey color, only calmed in its intense darkness by white sprinkling throughout. "You two are growing so fast, I'm just glad that I haven't failed you both and get to see how amazing your becoming every day." Mysty let her pale blue eyes shine with joy. The pups grinned widely, both loved attention and praise from their surrogate mother and alpha.
