u go up to a door and ask it what the other door would tell me to take, then take the opposite of what the door said.

The liar would tell you the wrong path; the truthful one would also say the wrong path.
In effect, they are not telling you which is which, but naming which path you do not want to take.
Only two people seem to have answered it, but it seems nobody has outlined why it would work, which is something I find integral to riddles.
Also, may I be pinged? :)
