There seems to be none. All the stones are too risky or far apart. You can hear the gushing of a waterfall close by.

i'll follow the edge of the river and see where it leads

Towards or away from the waterfall? (Towards back the way you came, away where you were heading)

You head away fromt he waterfall towards the denser forest. Thorny vines were starting to grow, and one wrapped itself into your ankle. (continuing this way is extremely dangerous by the way, even heading back is a death warning)

One twists itself around your neck as you run, however it doesn't seem to be thorny.

Two more wrap themselves around your wrists and lift you off the ground. you notice they're made of shadows.
