"I'd rather just take out the entire eyeball, as gross as it seems," Emerald said sitting down near Sharkfin, watching Ace with an unreadable expression, "I always thought as Ace as my little brother. I was planning to proposing to Pheasant before everything happened."

May was happy with Jason, hugging him and gently resting her head on his shoulder.

Sharkfin was concerned as he couldn't read Emeralds expression. "I'm sorry that all that got in the way."

Jason gingerly stroked her hair.

"It's not your fault, there was nothing anyone could do," Emerald said with a sigh, "But seeing my girlfriend like that... it hurt more then I would like to admit."

May let out a happy sigh, closing her eyes as she leaned against him.

"Understandable. I can understand how much it hurts to see loved ones in that type of situation." He said, remembering his own family. He shook his head, shutting his eyes tight to keep images of his mother from coming to mind. The beautiful pink and blue scales, the yellow eyes that where the first thing he'd seen when coming out of his egg.

Jason closed his own eyes, just taking this time to enjoy being with May.

Emerald nodded, "I saw your thoughts earlier when you held me. I'm sorry about your family, but now you have new people to love and appreciate," She gestured to all of them, "Remember that always!"

May was also just enjoying the moment, glad that he was there for her. She hoped she would always be there for him.

He gazed at the group, orange eyes brightening a bit. "Yeah, guess you're right. I will remember that. Thanks"

His wings soon wrapped around them both like a little shield.

Emerald smiled at him, eyes filled with kindness.
"Your welcome," She said gentle before standing up and going over to pet Maple, who was laying next to Sam.

May let out another happy sigh, starting to fall asleep because she was so comfy.

He hugged sleeping Ace close.

Jason didn't mind, he was starting to nod off as well a bit.

It was at that moment that Hatter decided to wake up (xD).
"What. The. Hell. Happened," He hissed to himself getting up, knives twirling around him like the deadly blades of destruction they where, "I'll kill them for playing with me like that!"

May had fallen asleep, the sleep dart still affecting her just the tiniest bit, making her want to take a year long nap.

Ace muttered something about shrimp as he reached and pulled Sharkfin as close as he could, a small smile spreading across his face.

Sharkfin chuckled softly, smiling as well.

Jason nestled them both down into the grass in his wings and settled in .
