"We'll wait here." I circle around a patch of bare ground, littered with huge boulders.
Death
"I'll come too," I offer, already scanning the ground for prey. "There are a couple of deer over there," I call to Galaxy and Shimmer. "We'll go catch some of those."
Shimmer
I nod and follow Death, diving towards the ground with talons outstretched. "Got one!" I grip the deer tightly in mu claws, smelling the satisfying scent of blood.

"Hey! Who are you?" Four guards circle around Galaxy, Death and Shimmer, forcing them to look up. "What are you doing in the Kingdom of Sky?" One of them growls. "Seize them! Queen Scarlet will be pleased to have more dragons for her Arena." The other three grab their spears and fly down.
Death
"It's a SkyWing patrol!" I attempt to dart away but the deer in my claws trips me over. I throw the deer away and prepare to cast a spell, speaking quickly under my breath. Before I finish, a bright orange Skywing shoves an iron band around my jaws, locking it with her spear. She repeats the procedure until my wings and claws are all bound.
Shimmer
In my panic, I blunder straight into Galaxy and crash onto the ground. A large SkyWing wearing heavy, metal armour chains me up in the same way as Death.

I twist around "Shimmer you idiot!" I swoop around but a skywing does the same thing to me as they've done to Death and Shimmer

"Take them back to the prisoner towers," The dragon who spoke before commands.
Death Don't struggle, we'll find a way out, I think to myself. Struggling will make it worse. I let the orange Skywing carry me to the prisoner towers. She drops me on one of the tallest towers, next to Shimmer's one.
Shimmer
I look around as the SkyWing carries me to one of the prisoner towards, dropping me on one besides Galaxy and Death.

Death Galaxy! Can you hear me? I think as hard as I can while tossing a small ruby at Shimmer. I wait until she catches it before thinking, Can both of you hear me?

I quickly catch the red gemstone that Death tossed to me and hear 'Can you both hear me?' I allow myself a small smile. Trust Death to always have an assortment of useful enchanted objects, I think to myself before directing my thoughts to Death. Yup, I can hear you, clear as crystal.
