"true" i nod "north it is!" i announce, smiling. the forest is so big and cool, i wonder what we'll see next, hopefully nothing dangerous, that would be bad. "lets keep an eye out for any tubers like carrots, potatoes and onions while we're out, we'll need something to plant when we make camp" i remind everyone. we'll need to survive through winter in our new settlement so we need crops as soon as possible.

Not realy knowing what else to add to the conversation, he instead prefered to focus on his surrounding both in case he found viable seeds or young eateable plants to grow later and to keep a watchfull eye on any potential horror this forest could toss at them. During that time, he stayed close to the others to make sure not to lag behind or let the others be separated while collecting.

i take the lead, forging the path ahead and knocking branches out of the way to clear the path for everyone behind me. if anyone should run face first into a predator, it should be me. with my small, lithe form i can get away easily, being a cat and all.

as we walk, things occasionally pass us by, forms concealed by the dense underbrush save only for their eyes. they do not bother us, however, simply watching in curiosity as we walk. i don't think they've seen anything like us before. we probably haven't seen anything like them either, to be fair.

Thema changed back to her panther form and sniffed the ground to see if there was any nearby predators as she followed them, she slipped under sticks and branches

as we walk, the sun rises in the sky, bearing down on us with a scorching intensity similar to that of my home. it's comforting to me, though i can see a few of the others beginning to sweat. as we walk, i begin to hear the faint sound of trickling water in the distance.

however, water isn't the only thing i can hear. there's something faint on the air, the others can hear it too. its a low grumble, a faint thunder that grows louder by the second. i freeze, taking a hesitant step back. the ground is shaking, a few small pebbles next to me shake and leap into the air, crashing back down to the ground with a tiny puff of dust from the ground.

"what is that?" i ask, grabbing for the book. it will be no use to me, of course, i can't see anything that could be making the noise, all i can see is the shaking tree and the loose leaves knocked from their place falling to the ground.

it doesn't smell any different than it did a few seconds ago, nothing new has come. whatever is making this noise has been here the entire time. a large branch from the tree in front of me crashes into the ground, sending me scrabbling away from it, as it misses me at the last second. the sound is all around us now, the trees shaking wildly, the sound of the thundering footsteps all around us. it's definitely footsteps, though not the footsteps of any creature i've heard before, at least i think. it's kind of hard to tell.

So far he had been enjoying the heat and semi-peacefull walk, tho the forest had apparently decided not to let them fool themself on the nature of their task any longer. He immediately went into high alert looking for a way up and away from what was now more then likely running in our direction. " Eather that thing have alot of foots, is very large or it's some kind of stampeed... Eather way we have to move and fast."
