She left the inn and sat out on the porch in front. Soon the wagon would be here and they would be a step closer to home. She smiled at that thought.

"So....WHat arrangements did you and that innkeeper bash out?" Jeremy asked, sitting next to her. He shifted n the clothes, it had been a long time since he'd worn-or came close to wearing-actual clothes and not skin-tight-hlalf-illusioned clothing.

There is a wagon from a large city coming into town today. He will pay for the lady who drives it to take us with her. He will also give us some food for the journey. She said.

"Not a bad deal." Jeremy grinned. Then sighed. "Man I'm seriously going to get it for disappearing out of the blue like that later.....My stepbrother already chewed me out once this week for almost falingoff a cliff and blowing my cover."

Blowing your cover? Are you some sort of spy? she asked. She looked at him, clearly curious.

"I mean, my whole world is literally at war. Again. I'm from one of the Acadamies, training to be what they call a "Runner", someone who basically goes around the place with messages, collecting information, that sort of stuff. Anyway, I was out training in the field with my stepbrother and another friend and I guess i got too close to the cliff edge and almost fell off. But i dislodged a rock and my stepbrother had to teleport us out of there. He.....wasn't too happy after that since we were supposed to be getting information on a key group of enemy soldiers..." Jeremy chuckled awkwardly. "He's gonna be pissed I up and disappeared when I get back, he barely got over me ruining the whole mission."

Raz nodded. Huh, cool. My life is not nearly as... exciting, but it is mine so... She said. This was in some ways a lie. Her life was plenty exciting. She couldnt count the times she had nearly been revealed for what she was or put in dangerous situations. Though it all took place in one little town with trivial things that were heightened by her... condition.

"Lucky. I count myself as having free time when i don't have to tag after my stepbrother or his cousin. Those two.....seriously, they're workaholics and they have the mindsets of donkeys."
