Mark looks at her...."oh... i think most of us were actually on the plane for a simailar reason"


Jirachi put her hair back up.."Maybe he plane was shot down by our parents" she said causally

Ethan gave Ivory a glance as she spoke about her family.
"You don't seem to like your father a lot." He commented.
His smile came back again.
"I think you would regret saying this if you had to spend more than five minutes with us together in the same room!"

A few seconds later, he heard the comments of Mark and Jirachi, and was shocked by what the girl had just suggested.
"Hey, my parents and my siblings are annoying and crazy at time, but I love them and they would never have done anything like that!" He protested. "They didn't send me away, I was the one who wanted to visit my family. My father didn't even want to let me go."

Jirachi:"I was jokeing kay?"

Ivory bit her lip. " Didn't like. " was an understatement. " My father and I have... issues, where I normally get locked in a dark cellar, where it's cold and scary and I'm alone. " She went on, and she stopped herself. She covered her mouth slightly, as if she said something she wasn't supposed to say. She buried her face in her hands. " I'd ather live with your family. " She said smiling sadly.

Mark:"I never actually knew my real parents.."


Jirachi:"Divorced family kids always want to be in a regular family...." she looked down

Ethan smiled to Jirachi. "It's fine, I know you were joking! If your parents had tried to shot down the plane, my father would have killed them with a Death ray. I'm almost sure he has one hidden somewhere."

The boy turned to Ivory.
"I... I didn't know, I'm sorry"
What kind of parents did that to their child? His father could be rash, but Ethan could never imagine him doing something like that to one of his children.
"If that's true, I wish you could come with us... It will be better now that you are going to live with your mother, right?"

"So, none of you have a real, happy family?" he asked.
He was a bit sad for all of them. He couldn't imagine what his life would be like without his.

Ivory's mood only saddened. " My mother is better, but she leaves once a month for 2 weeks at a time. She's normally drunk as well, or off with some guy she just met doing who knows what. I'd rather be alone then with my parents to be honest. I guess you could say I don't have a happy family. " She fumbled with her fingers.

"I didn't want to make you feel worst. Can't you stay alone at home when your mother leaves?"
He patted her back awkwardly, hoping to make her feel a bit better, even if he knew if he wasn't especially good at comforting people. He looked around them, at the forest, at the broken plane, at the fire.
"Maybe you're better here, then. We could stay and create a new society" he said.
His tone and face didn't show if he was joking or if he was serious.
"Or you could come with me when I go back to my family. We'll hide you. We can tell my parents you're one of my cousin. My father does not recognize half of his nephews and nieces anyway."

Ivory smiled softly. " Would you really do that? " She actually had planned on running away once they landed. " I would go for that, or the new society. " She grinned. She felt tired. She didn't get much sleep lately anyways. She yawned. She tossed some sticks into the fire. " I think you're the nicest person I've met. Thanks. " She smiled.

"We survived, but some people died in the plane crash. You'll never get a better chance to escape from your life. We could pretend you were one of the victims. We can tell the authorities and your family that you're dead."
This time, it was easy to tell by his voice and his face that Ethan was very serious.
