Smiling at them warmly, I pick up the pup and introduce it to Milky way while petting it. "He won't get hurt, I promise."

I walk into the desert, the hot sun beating on my back. I walk far enough so I can just see the canyon, and look around, seeing if Milky is okay.

I decided to name the pup Dagar, and continue walking into the forest, both MilkyWay and Dagar nuzzling each other.
