"One less carcass to help bury." Burying a body in the snow dulled the scents of the carcass, and lessened the chances of predators being drawn to the smell. And if she died, he and his brothers would be task with that duty, and neither three of them wished for that. Being stuck with burial duty was a pain, but it became a habit on the ever white plains of Snowy Mountain.
A sigh escaped the male again as his eyes flitted across the snow. His brothers were safe, no predators' scent was in the air, but there was something - a rabbit? There! The black tips gave away the position, and ignoring the stray for the time being - it wasn't like she was capable of any harm towards him or his brothers, it seemed - he focused on the prey.
Crunch. Warmth flooded his mouth as the snow was stained red. A careless kill, for more blood was spilled than expected. But, at least it was a kill. They'd have some more snacks now. With a paw, he quickly mixed the snow, and the scarlet melded away to a pristine white, the scent and evidence hidden from sight and scent. With his objective completed, he cast a glance back to the stray.
She looked at him while listening at him. He seemed to be sincere about not wishing to kill her. The black male looked like a finly detailed painting against the glistering snow. He stood out like a soar thumb in the everlasting white plains of snow. As the snow was glistering behind him he stood out even more from the shining background. As he quickly dashed away she looked at him At first confused on what he was aiming to do. However once she smelled the familiar sent of blood she directed her ears towards the black male. Slightly curious she crawled forward a bit and looked at him. It smelled like food. And she just remembered that she had not been eating for almost a week now.
As she saw the male holding the dead rabbit she licked her mouth crawling a bit closer. It smelled so delicious. So tasty and she remembered the taste really well. A bit metallic due to the blood, the warm juicy blood tasty and nice. And the meat, not that much on a rabbit for sure however it is still nice and yummy. While thinking of what to do her ears rested against her neck. Slowly, almost as if she was confused of her actions she got up on her legs and took a few steps towards the raven coloured wolf, moving away from the edge of the platou.

Rikki felt her ears twitch along with her lips at bis statement. Cocking her head her golden eyes beat into his brown ones. "That no excuses, if you feel uncertainty without a pack what makes you think it will lessen when they do need you. Beside, wouldn't your situation mean you just haven't found those that can handle you." Looking away Rikki let her gaze lift up to the stars, sparkling in the sky, lighting the way for the lost souls wandering in the darkness. " I don't know your name, and come a week from now it may not matter." Turning her face back toward the male Rikki let her long tail wave gently, the breeze playing with the long white hair. "-but don't you think some of our biggest weaknesses can be our biggest strengths with the right ones surrounding us. Just look at me, I'm alpha material and there never was a question about that in my old pack." Shaking her head Rikki let go of the memories and held on to the lessons that they had given. "However, I had a nasty redundancy to run off and explore the territory and even further than that. My parent thought to break me of it, only my brother Raja saw my great potential for beta." Rikki smiled at the happiness she received when she finally let Raja be the alpha. His quiet confidence had been the biggest weakness of his and turned out to be the very best quality he possessed. She was still as dominant and strong as ever but as beta she protected the territory and explored with it being totally acceptable. Sighing Rikki turned her face away from the male. "Uh, don't know much about encouragement but maybe you should be looking for those that like you and can put up with whatever drama you carry instead of a pack. For things are not always what they seem to be at first." Rikki stood, lightly shaking the dirt from her coat before walking a few steps away. Finding that spot suitable she sat. Words honestly escaped her most of the time, Raja was better at it than her...

He listend to her, having to bit his lip not to give a rude and coold answer. "I dot vare for classical traits. JUst because a wolf posesses the most typical traits of an alfa doesnt mean they will be a good one."he finally replied. He got up and stretched the long neat legs. "In my opinion most alfas are just stuck up narrowminded and stuck up"he said quiet blunt. As he finally got up on all four paws properly he shaked his body a bit. "And since you mentioned it, my name is Blaen"he pointed out and looked at her. "Besodes I doubt there is any pack at all prepared to take me in." he said after a while and looked at her once again. the smell was really dominant for him, made himhave a rough time even thinking. Trying to clear his mind a bit he shaked his head while walking a bit in a cirkle. Without having to tell it clearly failed as the smell didnt really disapeared at all just because he circled. Instead it, acording to him atleast, increased in strength. "And just why are you, a heating pack wolf spending time with a stray?"he asked, straight to the point looking at her. Shaking his red and whit ehead again he tried to ignore the everlasting precense.

Rikki gave a momentary growl at the alpha part " Or you just have met stuck up wolves that happen to be alphas...Some traits ARE needed we there you want to believe that or not." Pointing her face away from him she watched the male from the corner of her eye. As he said the last bit she felt the fur on her back rise a bit in her female anger. She turned her face back toward him with a glare, Rikki knew that her nasty side was rising. Raja was helping her learn to control it but this male was uptight enough to get her hackles to rise."Well Blaen, for someone so positively full of opinions about others you don't look at your self that much or you'd see the answer." Fur at full length and eyes catching the light of the moon Rikki stood. The long grass surrounding them gently swayed in the breeze, her white fur mimicking the movement, causing her hard expression to look a little less harsh. Golden eyes looked at the male as he circled "Because wether you think so or not you couldn't win if you tried anything." Her voice was low, seeming to match with the calmness that this night offered. The only sign of her anger was her fur that was much fuller and the way her eyes seemed to spark with her emotions.

He looked at her, listening carefully. He is not stupied, far from it, however he do hav his faults he knows that for sure. He is at times short tempered, he is most times classified as rude and impolite. However he is actually trying, he is indeed trying to. For example he is actually really polite now, specially compared to what he have been in the past. His darkbrown eyes looked at her, you dont have to have even a half brain, a quarter of one should be enough with such a clear body language. And honestly he did not even have to see her to realice she was ... lets say upset. Her energy was nasty enough for him to pick up. "Fine then, Il get moving!" he answered after a while. His movements were a bit stiff and anoyed as the sent she was giving off told his instinkts to stay and court her to get some pups of his own. However right now he felt somewhat ... hurt and disrespekted so he managed to get his legs to move. Sure it was slowly and hesitating but he moved away. He dont have to take this! He dont have to listen to her insult him! Slowly, reluctantly he walked away.

Rikki moved up to right beside him, matching his pace. Her fur stood on end and she was irritated to say the least. Rikki knew the jab was a bit much for any male ego to take but she wasn't taking it back. Her thoughts had turned directly to Scar who had been cruel even while trying to be her mate. He had thought little of her because he couldn't control her. All the hurtful words had effected her wether or not she would admit. So when he betrayed the pack and ended up killing all but Raja and herself she had made she she would never be inferior in any way. She was and equal, she had her strengths and weakness but so did everyone else. Sliding her gaze over to the male she huffed, still annoyed at males and their mouths. "You know not everything is as it appears." The words were whispered but she was sure the male had heard. The words of her brother were etched into her memory and she often worked hard to work on herself to grasp that in every situation that came up, of course she failed sometimes. Yet they were lessons to strengthen her, so was she viewing the situation wrongly? Absent mindedly she swayed just enough that the ends of her long white fur brushed the males shorter red, but her mind didn't catch the action.

he suddendly stretched out his legs fully and took a few steps while running before stopping infront of her. His small fur standing up, ears to the back, teeths bared and his tail held high. "So just what is it then?!" he barked angrily. This situation was way above his head, so the somewhat anxious and nervous male took the only way out he knew, anger. However any sane and stable wolf, or animal even, would feel that it was merley to cover up for beeing so insecure and nervous. No balanced and sane animal would for a moment belive that he was really agressive. Instead they would just realice that he was trying to hide his insecurity.
(sorry for short answers with Blaen but im starting to feel he was the wrong typ of character to me, not sure If il change him a bit or leave him be)

Rikki gazed at the male with a calm serenity that went far beyond her years. Taking a step further, then stopped and sat. With the moon directly above Rikki thought everything looked at its purest in that moment. " Wolf, that is what we both are at are simplest. So why do you act if I feel any less insecure or fearful and even confused...The only difference I see right in this moment is your letting you emotion carry you away." Her golden eyes took in his stance, the bard teeth but most of all his look in his eyes. "I simply got tired of what I perceived in myself. I'm honestly terrified of any male wolf besides my brother, yet here I am, unsure if you too will rip into me like some piece of unworthy meat like the last male that came across our territory." Rikki felt her throat tighten, getting up she twisted around and left her back towards him. Giving her the smallest semblance of being alone.

((Sorry for the smaller post...))
In'ei looked at the wolf, a little curiosity glowing in his eyes. But, it seemed clear as to what she wanted, and he backed away from the dropped kill. After all, what was this one loss when he could always hunt for more?
Yes, prey was scarcer here than in most other places, yet if one knew how to lure the prey out... then it was abundant. And so, if he ever needed more food, well, it wouldn't be too much of a problem, added on to that, they were only a little bit from the pack's camp, and he could go without food for a little longer.
"Eat." It was both a command and a request, yet neither at the same time. Bordering on monotonous, what In'ei said could have been taken either way due to his dismissive attitude. "Or am I mistaken in my assumption that you are hungry?"
