Flower began licking Rain and Cinder in the Medicine Cat Den. They began napping.

Blackspot tried to approach Frostwhisker but she growled, "What do you want, Blackspot?"
She isn't in the mood to talk? Blackspot thought. Was it that bad?

Shadowstar got back, and went to Moontail first, and the moment he walked up he knew she was getting flustered. Again. And again he questioned his own wisdom in appointing her deputy.
He comes up,and says, "Dawn patrol will be Willowfur, Foxtail, and Softpaw. Hunting patrol will be Greytail, Raggedpelt, and Spike. Night patrol will be Tallear, Smallpaw, Swiftpaw, and Hunter."
He rattled it off rapidly, then said, "why do you worry so much over the patrols?"
(I think we could say she's very new to being deputy. Possibly recently appointed.)

Longfur keeps an eye on them, but otherwise bustles around the den, treating Terror's wounds.

(Either that, or she never knew what to do with planning for such a huge threat.)

"I'm just worried about losing someone to whoever attacked Terror," she truthfully mewed. "I'd never want to be responsible for a clanmate's death, y'know?"

Shadowstar said, "These are all young and fast cats. Jayhawk is quick, but most cats can outrun him. And he wouldn't attack the clan alone."

That set her at ease mildly. "That's... good to know."

Shadowstar sighed, keeping his worry for the hunting patrol to himself.

"Who's this Jayhawk?" Blackspot asked curiously.

"Is your Leader back?" Flower asked Blackspot, who was outside the Medicine Cat Den.
"Erm... Yes, Shadowstar is back... but he's busy..." Blackspot replied. "Shadowstar! Flower would like to ask you something!"

"I'll, erm... clean up the den, and focus on other duties if that's okay Shadowstar," she mewed, getting the leaves she tore up and setting them neatly in a pile.

(I'm just going to assume terror is still in the med cat's den, as I've re-read and I haven't seen anything about her)

Cherry'kit laid closer to Terror, eyeing the new cat in the den.
