"Well, there's a lot of mixed beliefs about the stars. The scientists back at the village swore up and down they were nothing but great big balls of gas millions of light years away. They're right about what stars are PHYSICALLY made of, but I think there's more to the stars too. Some of the oldest people said the stars have spirits, and they watch over the universe like gods. They called the spirits the 'Starfolk'. There was this one crazy old man who insisted I came to the village due to star spirits......" He laughs. "Everyone thought he was NUTS, me included. I'm not quite sure what I think about the stars.... but they're definitely special, there's just something mystical about them."
