Ash hesitated, hanging back in the doorway. He was looking for the trod... Metal grates covered the floor. Steam drifted over the floor, coiling around their legs. Against the far wall, one of the grates had been pried up, leaving a square, gaping hole. Smoke boiled out of the opening. That's the trod!

This stresses the kitsune further, his tails swishing back and forth.

"We've got this." She seems to be assuring herself more than the others.

(How about thy can use their powers buy it's draining? They're going to need it for what's going to happen...)

As they started towards the trod, Ash still hung back, he called for them to stop, that something was wrong. In a split second, a pile of scrap metal shifted. Then, with a screech that sounded like nails on a chalkboard, the mound uncurled, sending sparks into the air as it dragged along the floor. From the jumbled mess a long neck rose up that was made of iron, wire, and broken glass. A reptilian head glared down at them, shards of metal bristling from it's skull. Then the entire mound lurched up, shifting into a huge lizard of iron and steel, with curved talons and a jagged, spiked tail.

(Yeah, makes sense.)

She jumps back to Ash's side in utter surprise. "This is insane..." She snaps, looking worried.

The kitsune immediately turns into a big ball of furry fire, attacking the creature,

The fire does almost nothing to the dragon except enrage it further. The dragon roared, a deafening metallic screech. The dragon hissed, steam erupting from its gaping jaws. A volley of ice darts flew through the air, striking the dragon in the head and shattering harmlessly of its skull. It screamed and reared up, glaring at Ash. Lashing its tail, the dragon charged, sparks flying from its claws as it bore down on Ash.

The kitsune claws and bites the dragon.

The dragon turns its attention to the kitsune. Ash closes his eyes for a moment, then knelt and drove his sword point down into the floor. There was a flash of blue light, and ice spread rapidly from the tip, covering the ground and coating everything in crystals. Icicles started to form on overhead beams and there was a sudden chill. All the scrap metal frosted over, as well. Ash leaped aside as the dragon turned its attention to him again and reached him, and Ash moved as easily on ice as on the normal ground. Unable to stop itself, the dragon slammed into the wall, bits of metal flying everywhere. The dragon hissed, even more mad now

The kitsune keeps attacking it.
