She looks forward, her hand twitching anxiously. "I doubt I can reach the forest from in there...." Her voice shakes, clearly not liking the idea of not being able to be in touch with her powers.

She stares at her.

"I don't think I can use my powers, either," Ash muttered, not very happy about that. He also said something else that sounded like, "you're a lot like her." Before she could reply, he entered the compound and scanned around warily. "You two stay close to me."

She scoffs, rolling her eyes. "I can protect her." She mutters, clearly not liking that he doubted her skills.

A chuckle came from the prince. "That's not who I was talking about." He immediately tensed though, looking around yet again. Large mounds of scrap metal lay piled about the yard as they walked through, the sharp edges glinting in the faint rays of dawn. Ash winced each time they passed one, keeping a wary eye on it as if it would leap up and attack him. Strange creatures scampered about the metal drifts, tiny men with ratlike features and tails. When they nibbled on a piece of metal, it rusted away under their teeth. They didn't bother them, but Ash shuddered whenever he saw one, his hand never leaving his sword.

She stays close to Ash, at times jumping in surprise when one of the creatures crosses their path. She mutters under her breath, it sounds like "Never liked rodents."

The kitsune obviously is on edge, and he growls at the rodents, his fur puffed out and sparking.

Tge iron doors had more chains around them, but the ice blade cut through them easily. Inside was dimly lit and it looked like an ordinary warehouse, empty and dark, though there were some skittering noises. More mountains of scrap metal littered the gloom, some larger than any of the four of them were tall.

He gets increasingly paranoid as they go. He's now growling audibly.

She tries to reach for the vines but nothing happens. She clenches her fists, glaring at the metal in pure anger. "I hate this." She snaps.
