They swim across the river, before surfacing. It turns out theyre actually snake-foxes. Their top half is a grey fox, but the bottom is a large snake.

Yep. They might be aggressive. Theres also other humanoids around the area, some of which he recognizes. Theres nyaids, which are pretty easy to recognize due to the fact theyre basically models with blue skin and a fish tail, along with a few kelpies, easy to recognize since theyre the only evil water horse/humanoid horse women hes ever heard of.

Eventually he meets Hawkblade again. She hasnt found her mom, but she did find one of her friends, named Blaze, who is the kitsune pup now sitting by her.
