Because theyre so small, and its still quite dark, its kinda hard to find them. But she manages to start hitting them by slashing near where theyre likely to attack, which are her neck and legs.

She was glad her attacks were succeeding, but she knew she needed to leave, and she still had yet to scope out the camp.

They continue to relentlessly attack her. It isnt a large flock- only 20 or so. Its the ones in the triple digits that are lethal.

She saw a nearby body of water, only a small pond like formation. She thought the best idea would be to dive in and hope for the best.

Naturebirds can't be their tiny bird forms in water.

She used her wings to tread water as best she could, holding her breath and hoping that the nature-birds were to impatient to wait her out

They start landing on the nearby trees, squawking and hissing. Which is very weird noises coming from naturebirds, because they're little more than sexist hummingbirds who can turn into humans.

She has lasted as long as she could. She got ready to take off very swiftly. Once she was out of the water, she disappeared into a tree nearby.

(this is sorta random, but you know those little lumps on the phoenixes' heads where those little curly things are? Those are actually horns, it's just feathers cover them up so they don't look like horns)


They chase after her, but most end up losing sight of her.
