Satisfied, Jen made her way to the ward's armory.

Doc followed behind in tow, watching the scrambling subjects on their way. "Seems most of them are making their way outside the facility now. I believe we may be at a disadvantage trying to chase any on foot."

"Why do you think we got these hangin' around, Doc?" Jen took back her ID from the armory's attendant, strapping on a rifle with a chuckle, as she started loading a few rifle magazines into front compartments of her armor.
"Don't have to run so much if ya just aim. Bang, right for the knees. And you sure you don't need me to check you one of these bad boys out?"

"I don't believe I am authorized to carry on premise. My training was not completed and I do not wish for the use of excessive force against any subjects under my watch." Doc frowned at the guard's enthusiasm for brutality but brushed it off as a lost cause at this point.

"Rules, smules. Hey, Jean. Just remember what I said, no Disney princess crap. You're one of us. Ya let any of those animals see how soft you are, you might as well get ready to get shipped out in a body bag yourself. This is the real deal, not some kind of training drill."

Jean? Funny. That was the first time she, let alone any other guard here, had bothered to use his first name, let alone see him as more than just some wayward experiment.
He sighed for a moment, thinking things over, before giving the woman a dip of his antennae in understanding. She had a point. Whether he liked it or not, they were on the same side, after all.
"Let's go then. If the perimeter here is being actively secured, then we best take the outside and start trying to block any others from escaping."

Jen gave a two-finger salute to the scientist and started down the hall to the nearest exit.
