"You nearly did, keep trying," Ashia encouraged.

"Today," Justin pulled on Shield's bridle who snorted and kicked again.

"So...You're going now?" Sparky was surprised...and confused.

Jackson snorted like his animal. "Maybe if I could get it in one shot...Actually, feeling that was an improvement. I'll keep going. For you, Barnabus." Barnabus looked at him hopefully.

"No just getting Shield reshod," Justin clarified.

Ashia smiles in encouragement, "Good your learning and I can see why you summoned Barnanbus."

Hazel was watching them, so she asked Ashia, "Why did he summon Barnabus? His attitude? Particularly the grumpy one?"
Barnabus showed Jackson again. "Yep, okay. I've got this, Barnabus." Again, there was that tingling sensation and the feeling he could do anything he put his mind to. He lashed out at another fish, and successfully caught it. It squirmed in his hands.
"I don't think I can hold on any longer." Jackson held the fish at nearly arms length away.

"Okay." Sparky shrugged.

"Throw it on the bank I'll catch it," Ashia told Jackson, "Hazel he summoned Banabus because he is bear in spirit. Listen if he gets fusterated he snorts like a bear or and acts like a bear sometimes."

"You're helping shoe him," Justin spoke, "you can either hold the bridle or shoe him your choice."

"I'll...hold his bridle, I guess." Sparky said, doing as he said.

"Okay." Jackson threw the fish to Ashia. Barnabus looked at Jackson happily and growled as if to say, Good job, you did it.

"Oh. That...actually makes a tiny bit of sense."

Ashia caught the fish as Scarlet dragged over a basket to put the fish in, "Did you understand what he said Jackson?"

Shield tried to bite Sparky as Justin gently shoed Shield.

Jackson shrugged. "Most likely something about being proud or something."

"Hey! You know, this is my third time with a horse, and the last two both gave me wrong impressions. This horse isn't doing any better. Okay, Shield. If I say sorry, will you try to not bite me? Or kick me for that matter?" Sparky tried to not get bit by the horse.

"Step back," Justin warneds Sparky a second too late. Shield rears kicks Sparky full on then drags him if he was still holding the bridle.

"Good," Ashia spoke, "go until you have twenty fish."

Sparky shook his head, trying to clear it and keep a hold on the horses' bridle at the same time. "Yikes! Shield, slow down!" Sparky managed to get to his feet for a second before letting go, and sprawling backwards, wondering how many bones were most likely broken and how many bruises he had. Sparky got to his feet, looking at the horse, sensing he had a definite enemy.

Jackson looked like he was going to complain, but did it anyway. Once they had 19 fish, a jumping fish accidentally threw itself on the shore. "Uh, does that...can that count as my 20th?" Barnabus slipped, and then jumped onto the opposite shore before he fell headlong into the river.
