"'Misfits' is just a kinder way of saying what we do not want to hear. Most just say malfetto." She spat the word out with malice, she didn't prefer to use it but that was what people called her. She turned away and her anger led to her powers acting up. A crow on a nearby building took off and alighted on her shoulder. She rolled her multicolored eyes. "And this is what happens. The animals are attracted to me without me even wanting to control them."

The crow shot up into the air to catch it in its talons for her, and then dropped it in her hand. The apple had no puncture marks, thankfully, and Rae shined it with her sleeve before biting into it. "Thank you."
