Spike
I freeze, and inquire with a rough voice.
"Pretty?" I lean down and turn my head so one of my eyes is level with hers. She doesn't seem hostile or afraid like the other creatures, and she doesn't smell like the rude aicleobac of the forest who usually cam here trying to steal rocks. "And who might you be?" I swing my big, spiked, scaley tail around to encase the child in a sort of wall with my body while leaving her a crescent of space.

*Mild gore hear, tried to keep it mellow
Tumble
"Storm no!! mamma!" I sob, smelling out my mother and finding her in the ice shards. Her body is limp, impaled by the ice making it look like a bed of rubies. I nudge her check with my nose, but she does not wake up. My last parent, dead. How could I let this happen? All because I didn't keep my wits about me. Tears rain from my emerald eyes as I curl up beside her pelt, still warm. Crimson blood stains my snowy fur but I don't care. Trembling, I feel like I have lost everything. I blame myself.

Lucent
Lucent would wake, holding his head with his paw. "Ugh...how long was i out..." He'd look around, seeing that storm and tumble was gone. "I got a bad feeling, but i better go search around." He'd sniff, getting storm's scent, walking out of the cave and looking at the direction it pointed to. The Volcano...they are in big trouble if the dragon's still preside within... He'd bound up and fly off, heading toward's Spike's Territory.

Jasper
As the earthquake began shaking the mountainside. Jasper's deep fear of the quake and his desire to find Opal warred with each other. His hesitation cost him because while he stood there a small rockslide started behind him on the steep slope. Before he could retreat to the safety of the cave his entire body was pelted with stones. One clipped him in the temple and he blacked out.
Later, when Jasper came to, the sky had darkened but there was still some light. He pulled himself up, feeling stiff and sore, gingerly stretching his legs and wings. Just as he was finally getting his bearings back, a loud roar split the night.
"Opal!" Jasper shouted again, feeling sure that where ever that sound had come from, Opal must be there, too.
He took off slowly, more adept at navigating the mountains than his sister had been. When he reached a spot with a small pointed ledge he used it to launch himself into the air. He flapped his wings a few times, carrying him up and towards the direction of the roar. But suddenly, a powerful instinct took him over and he turned his head in the opposite direction. There was someone, his own kind, in deep distress. The feeling was so strong that he turned his flight path without thinking about it first.
It had to be Opal, was his thought, and with that in mind he flapped his wings harder in the direction his instinct led him. Unfortunately, when he reached the snowy region, what he found was not Opal.
He landed softly on the ice a distance away and took in the scene before him. There was an aiceleobac, a different variety than he, snuggled up next to the body of a very recently deceased mountain lion. He could still see the bright blood against the ice. His survival instincts told him to leave, to find Opal, but a different instinct compelled him with a stronger force and he took a few cautious steps toward the pair.
"A-are you alright?" he began falteringly, unused to speaking to anyone but his sister.

Soft foot steps approach her. "Tumble...I'm sorry." Doggo said his eyes sad and downcast. "I couldn't stop her, I tried but I was too late..." He whimpered. "she went over the edge before I could catch her...I climbed down as soon as I could but I was too late."

Tumble
I leap up, letting my claws slip out of my paws, but then I relax, and see another of my own kind. I just stare, eyes wide with fear and depression. I know my fur is stained with blood, but I don't bother to groom myself.
"Help... Please..." I choked back tears, taking a few steps toward the Bac but then retreating to Storm's side. "My mother... She fell..." I whisper, gazing up at the two hundred foot drop she fell, ice sticking out of the cliffside in jagged angles. "My... My fault..." I squeeze my eyes shut, and as my body tenses I fall to the ground. I feel very weak, the cold seeping into my bones and causing my body to fall asleep, numb. My only hopes lie with Lucent and the aicleobac.

"The cave? Oh, you mean the one closer to the waters?" She asked with a smile, "I been in it a few times, especially on hot days. It really is cool there." Twist had to agree. "There's a lot of room here. We don't mind sharing..." Her ears would flicker to any sounds as she laid on the ground beside Howlite. She looked over to the ghostly mammal with curiosity, "How is the forest? I never stray very from the lake to check it out.. I find the lake to be very safe from big predators." Her tail sway behind her. She didn't realize how fast time had gone since it had grew dark once again. She let a yawn.

Howlite
"Wow it is already dark." Howlite let out a yawn and stretched. "I'm going to go to bed guys, night." Howlight climbed once again into the hole on the tree. He laid back down on his bed of kelp. He stuck his head out once more to say good night. "See you in the morning."

Jasper
Ever since the cave in that killed his parents, Jasper had been isolated from all others besides Opal. Yet when Tumble stood up and gazed at him with her eyes so full of fear and grief, Jasper felt something deep within him reach out to her.
"I...," he began, unsure of how to proceed. The mountain lion, while clearly not her real mother, had obviously meant something to her. "I'm afraid that I can't help. She's gone." He knew there was no easy way to say it, having told Opal the same thing about her parents, but it still pained him. He took a few steps closer to her.
"You look very cold. Perhaps...perhaps we should leave."
