Longfur muttered something about Warriors and kits, then said, "Come in."
Terror was off to one side, still asleep.

He said, "Yeah, I was watching. I caught a good deal of that exchange. Especially the part where you wanted to run off a queen and her kits. If she were alone, or else with a tom, I could forgive it. But she wasn't. You should have brought her to me immediately.

-Camp-

Flower (bleeding flank), Redstep (bitten shoulder), Rain and Cinder entered the Medicine Den. Rain and Cinder were hiding behind Flower.

-Out-

"She stole a lizard." Frostwhisker said. "Shouldn't we ask her before we brought her and her kits to you?!"

Longfur looked up sharply as an unfamiliar smell entered his medicine den, then he saw kits and he knew it was his father's doing. He gathered together some marigold, and chewed it into a poultice before pressing it on both cats' wounds.

Shadowstar hissed, "You should have brought her to me. Period. Do you understand?"

"Thanks for healing me. I'm Flower, and these are my kits, Rain and Cinder. We live in a cave near Highstones." Flower meowed. "There's something I would like to ask your leader."

"Yes. Understood." Frostwhisker said quietly, look down.

Longfur said, "And what would that be?"

Shadowstar said, "I expect you to return to camp. Immediately.

A deep, rich purr drifted across the border to them as the cat that had followed Flower and her kits along the border stepped out of the bush he had been watching from. It was a big tom, with grey tabby fur and green eyes. His pelt was heavily scarred with wounds that hadn't just come from cats, but foxes too. He purred, "Well, Shadow. I didn't think you would still be here, considering the state you were in last time we met. I guess you cats are tougher than I thought. Of course, your girlfriend tried to fight me. She was strong and clever, but I'm faster."
Shadowstar grit his teeth, his fur still lying flat. Then the rogue spoke again.
"How is she, by the way? Is she serving StarClan yet? I'd be surprised if she weren't."
Shadowstar growls suddenly, his growl as high and brittle as an apprentice, and he said, "Get out of here, Jayhawk. You're not welcome near my Clan."
The tom gave a dark, raspy laugh, at odds to his silky tones, and said, "And what will you do? Run me off by yourself? Really. You couldn't beat me before. Why now?"

"I would like to join your Clan. It's been hard trying to feed Rain and Cinder. I used to live near FishingClan's (RiverClan) territory, but I don't want to lose my kits in a flood. Your Clan's territory seems nice, even though Rain and Cinder thinks it's nasty." Flower meowed.

"Yes Shadowstar." Frostwhisker said, returning to camp.
"So what happened?" Blackspot asked Frostwhisker, "Why did you stay behind?"
"Don't ask me." Frostwhisker growled.

"Just let me know when I can help, alright Shadowstar?" Moontail said, her stress somewhat getting to her.

(Necto, Shadowstar is out of the camp. I just revealed the cat that attacked Terror.)
Longfur looked at them, then said, "You'll be fine. Dad will at least keep you around for a bit, and Mom always had a soft spot for kits."

Shadowstar was coming back, not hurt physically, but his mind was in turmoil. If Jayhawk was back...

Moontail was setting up patrol plans in her den, some scrapped leaves that she used to plan them out all over.

(For context, she was carving her plans out of the leaf with her claws, if that makes any sense.)

"Okay, so if I send Willowfur, Dirttail, and Spike to morning patrol..." she trailed off, mumbling to herself, until she eventually tore up that leaf to start from square one.

(Makes perfect sense.)
