(And speaking of which...)
Knuckles reamerged in front of what looked to him like a wall of smoke... It didn't smell like smoke, though.

Knuckles held fast, and drew on the Chaos Emerald, eyes flashing yellow. "I'm a bit out of practice when It comes to teleporting, but..." He channeled the energy, and unleashed it with a cry of "CHAOS..."
"--CONTROL!" The voice hit Sonic's ears suddenly and miraculously. "Knuckles!" he whooped, looking up. "Right on time!"
