Starlight sensed the laugh. "Go ahead and laugh if you want I don't really care."



There was the sound of fighting coming from the galley.
"Guess the crew was hungerier then we thought come on or we won't get any." Selkie ran into the galley. Skipper was trying to hold the crew off and wait until everyone was there and seated.

Evermore looked between the boys,"Looked like you had a good time sword fighting" she remarked.Opal noticed the sweat in the two."Yeah..." Sterling said a bit sheepishly

"So what is like being a knight?'' Starlight asked.

Kaladin mummbled something about the crew, but it was lost in the shouting.

"But that would be insensitive!" Collin argued.

"Thank you for not but you almost did. I can sense these things." Starlight spoke keeping all emotion out of her voice.


Selkie and Skipper growled and the crew fell into line.
"Not the crew's fault most of them were starved when Cutlas ran this ship." Skipper told them.

Kaladin nodded. "Understandable."

"I don't have the best poker face, I'm afraid," Collin said easily.

"I ever knew what that term meant I would be grateful." Starlight told him.



The cook served the food quickly then got out the way fast.
The crew accually ate like they had manners.
"Pass the pepper please." Skipper kindly asked.
Selkie and Caspian reached for it at the same time. Selkie back off and let Caspain give it to Skipper.
"Come sit already Kaladin." Skipper invited him.

Kal sat down beside Selkie and wordlessly began eating.

"....Sorry?" Collin said.

"Its fine you just reminded me of Yannis. He said the exact same thing and I responded in the same way." Starlight explained.


Selkie nodded and passed the fruit to Kaladin.

"Siyabonga, uSelkie*," Kaladin replied.
