Pearl switched on her rocket boot and propelled past both the boys,arriving first

Sonic flicked an ear. "Psh. I don't need rocket rollerskates or creepy jewels to be fast, unlike certian people," he scoffed moodily as he slowed to a stop beside Pearl.

She nodded, trotting after him

Knuckles was moving at a fast trot, dark purple eyes scanning the surrounding area with a steady stare. He would pause every now and then and glance around with an intreauged expression.

So whats the thing were looking for?

"Not sure. I'm not close enough to tell," Knuclles shrugged. "Chaos Emerald, I'm guessing. Maybe the Master Emerald was canceling it out earlier... I dunno,"
