Kaladin gripped the side of the boat, gazing absently at the waves as if they had an answer to all of his questions.

Collin tilted an ear. "Pardon me lassie?"

"Everywhere has it's own secrets" she said a bit louder

"True one wrong move and you could set off a trap." Starlight muttered.


"We won't let them get the relics." Selkie tried to comfort Kaladin.

"Yep some of the tunnels are like that" she replied

Collin twitched an ear. "Well, I suppose I'm not going there anytime soon...." He chuckled.

Kaladin glanced up at him, doubtful. "I know you don't plan on letting them.... Even still...." He looked back at the water.

Starlight nodded. "I understand why they did it still but why did they have to put on the steps?''





"Kaladin I give you my word as a sea captain that we will not lose so don't say we will." Selkie promised. "Try to think about something else."
