There was a mouse, vole and even a squirrel. Rookcall watched you the whole way.

Having not been in the forest for very long, she had only ever tried a mouse before. But one of her neighbors had caught and let her try a squirrel before, so she decided on the vole. She bent her head down and grapes it in her jaws. She raised her neck back up and padded towards a sunny spot to eat it.

Rookcall had padded back to the kits and curled around them. The vole smelt fresh, with a tinge of mud.

She smiled at him briefly, with a tinge of apologecticness, before taking a bite of the vole. He was pretty sweet, trying to make sure she stayed healthy and catching this prey for all of them.
