Asuriel carefully crouches, picking her coin back up. She tosses it at the deer, not wanting to risk huring it by pushing the coin with steel. speaking of, she remembered, and extinguished the steel, trying to save her reserves.

It falls at its hooves. The deer sniffs it, then looks back at her. It seems almost confused, as if asking "what was that for?"

Asuriel catiously approches the deer, picking her coin up and slipping it in her pocket. "You're a sprite, aren't you?" she asked "It's ok, we are too" she pulled the coin back out and burned her steel again, pushing on the coin to 'float' like she had to show Kate

It nods. On closer inspection, its eyes are a vibrant gold, with tiny flecks of red. Normal deer most definitely don't have eyes like that.
