She didn't care much. She quickly got dressed, taking another jacket since she had yet to dry the previous one.

Mom had already left for some reason or another

"I'm going to check some of the animal rescue places." Isiea announces suddenly. She glances down at her half-brother. "Ethan, do you want to come?"

(I'm assuming he's too young for school yet)

She walks past her siblings and stepdad without saying a word, then outside to wait for the bus.

(Yeah, he is)

Luke didn't acknowledge either of the girls. Ethan gasped, eyes growing wide. "You'll let me come? Do you promise?"

Rob is already there...somehow

"I promise." She smiles. "I think there's some sort of half-off deal on mice or something, meaning they'll all be being shown right now."

"Mice?" He asked. Ethan had only seen glimpses of them because whenever he approached one it had run away

She nods. "Rats too, I think. I'm pretty sure the deal is about all their rodents but I don't know for certain."

He slid out of the chair, the half-eaten Pop-Tart completely forgotten

She picks him up lightly, knowing he won't want to walk all the way there, and heads right to the nearest animal shelter. Sure enough, the place is having a sale on all its 'mini critters', as in mice, rats, ferrets, and rabbits.
