Henri rolled their eyes at the banter between the other group members but it still left a smile on their face. It also gave them time to actually think of a dare. "Ah well...then I'll dare you to sing all of 'I'm a little teacup,'" Henri managed, their grin bordering on a smirk at this point. They tucked a long strand of blonde hair behind their ear before doing a few vague gestures with a hand, trying to look like they actually felt sheepish. "You have to do the dance too."

((Ya'll still up to play this? Should we go ahead and finish up the night and get some action going in the morning? I understand that this one is dragging a bit so we may not want to continue, however.))

(I wouldn't mind continuing, but I agree that the night is going on for a while. Maybe call it a night and start the action next morning? Did we ever after on what was happening when the morning comes?)

(Ack! Sorry, I guess I deleted my last ping by mistake >v<;
Yeah, at this point it's probably best to call it a night.)

(Yep, I agree with moving on. Who is going to kick off the morning?)

((I feel bad for reviving this conversation and not responding in a timely manner. My bad, ya'll! I'll try to move us into the morning though.))

The group continued to play a few more dares but once the sun dipped below the trees, it quickly grew too dark for even that. The firelight created a small circle around the teenagers as they curled up or spread out on the dirt. It wasn't much, but the day left them tired enough to sleep anyway. A quiet world after a strange day...one that wasn't blessed to stay past dawn.

Horse hooves thundered against the ground, booted feet and the clank of metal and wood crashing through the silence of the trees. A flock of shrieking birds took to the skies, marking it with brilliant emeralds, sapphire, and golds. Henri shot up from where they slept under their jacket, backpack wedged behind their neck. "What?" They cast their eyes around, not seeing anything except the sturdy trunks of trees. Another shriek sounded for closer this time, however, sending them tumbling onto their knees. Reaching out, Henri shook the shoulders of the person laying closest to them and hissed. "Wake up! Something's happening and I think it's coming right for us!"

"Hmhmmmm. Let it go through you first. I'm trying to sleep." Azrail mutters, putting his hands over his face before realizing he is already awake and sitting up. "Well, since I'm already awake, what's going on? And how can I help?" He asks. He stands up and puts his backpack on his shoulders, grabbing a stick, ready to use it as his weapon of something dangerous came charging at him. "Should I wake the others?" He asks before figuring they'd already be awake with all the noise. He looks around the camp to make sure everyone else was awake, alive, and counted for.

Zeth had woken up slowly to the sound of the vibrating ground. It took her a moment, but once she was able to get her head together, she snatched the pepper spray and scissors from her bag, positioning herself in a defensive manor. It wasnt much of a weapon, but it did its job in a pinch.
"I dont like this. I have scissors and pelper spray of anyone needs a weapon. Any Plans or ideas on what to do, or are we just sitting here and waiting to be overrun with whatever is coming? Because if no one has an Idea, I say we offer Axel as tribute and go on our merry way," Zeth said with a snicker.

"We're not offering anyone as tribute," Henri hissed back, the early hour and anxiety making them sound more biting than usual. Rolling to their feet, Henri looked around. If something like an army came their way, they didn't stand a chance. "Now, I don't suppose everyone can climb trees?" Grabbing onto a low branch, they hoisted themself up to plant feet against the trunk. "Let's at least get out of the way and see what's going on before we make any rash decisions!"

Zeth began to scramble up in to a tree. Luckily for her, the branches on her tree clustered close enough for her to easily climb up. Before she climbed too high into the tree, she reached an arm down to help anyone that still needed to get into a tree.
"Azrial, Axel, hurry up! One of you two get over here and I'll pull you up. Whatever that noise is, its coming, so lets go!"
She waved her arm around bellow her, trying to reinforce her sense of urgency.
