(No, it just means you study them for a while, learn their habits, draw some sketches, gather information and "catalog" them)

You look around for a bit but don't find anything. Finally it starts to get dark. you can choose to set up camp and go to sleep or keep looking for creatures

Iist stays up a little more to look for nighttime creatures, planning to set up camp in a safe place in the meadow later if she doesn't find any.
