You have a potion to upgrade one of your skills to the max, you can learn from your creatures or you could pay someone with in game money to learn how to do whatever it is. If you want to learn magic, you need a level 7-8 (can't remember which exactly) magic companion to teach you how to use magic

I walk over to the next tree and ask him to slice it down for me. I look over at the other three, checking to see if they were okay.
