(It's anything they've been around for a long while! So, Chrissy would be able to be a bird, cat, dog, etc., but unless she worked at a zoo for like 10 years she wouldn't be able to be a lion, tiger, bear, stuff like that. It's gotta be something they've been around a long time)
It suddenly breaks into a run towards them, its massive paws not making a sound on the ground.

(Actually, I was gonna plan for Lily to have worked at a zoo before all this lol)
She snarled and pulled out her sword as Lily suddenly roared, her body growing and shifting into the form of a massive grizzly.

Lily batted it away with a massive swipe of its hand, and then turned into a croc as she lunged forward, biting its neck HARD.

Touching it gives her a burning sensation- it feels like her mouth has been set ablaze.

She roared and pulled away, before becoming a black mamba, biting again, and flooding the creature with venom.
Chrissy jumped forward and bit, doing the same.

It snarls and shoves them both away, shaking itself. For just a moment, one of them glimpses something shiny under its neck, under the not-quite-solid skin-exoskeleton thing it has for a body.
