About that time, Sonic strode back towards the group with Knuckles trudging behind, either because he was tired, sore, or annoyed.
Or quite possibly all of the above.

It was the blue hedgehog who spoke up first. "You guys stayed here?" He asked. "And here I was thinking Clik would wanna explore. Right Clik?"

Knuckles grunted in response. "Not everyone is a thrill addict...." He glanced over at Ajal. "I see you're awake." He then noticed Rookie, and went on, "Why does he look like he just ran a marathon?"
