"We need both softwood like pine or bruce, and hardwood, like maple. Softwood burns faster are good to start a fire, but hardwood burns longer." He explained, in case the girl didn't know.
Ethan helped the girl to pick wood... As much as he could with one hand. It was frustating to collect wood with only one hand. He was unable to carry large logs. He also could not keep his firelight in his hand at the same time, which was not reassuring.
He started assembling the wood on a spot with no grass at a reasonable distance from the plane, so there was no risk that what was left of the aircraft could catch fire.
"We should try to see if we can find a lighter. Maybe the pilot or the copilot had ones in their bags?"
Hopefully one of them was smoking. If they did not find any lighters or matches, they could still light a fire but it would be more difficult and take longer.

Ivory's panic started setting in. It only got darker, and the plane didn't have any light. She went to the back clutching the flashlight. She sat in a corner and held the flashlight face up. She curled up and out her hood over her head. She shivered, not from being cold, but from fear. Some memories came back of her father shoving her into the dark, cold room. She tried several times to get up. But she only started getting more scared. Even before she left, she had kept her light on the whole time. And she always slept with the light on no matter what. She had always somehow felt childish for having a fear of the dark, but it wasn't just a fear, it was a phobia. She hugged her knees, still holding the flashlight. She wanted to help with something, but her panic just kept coming back. She would be totally useless at night. And she hated feeling useless.

Jirachi:"Got it!" she ran off and came back dragging a large spruce log with her one hand


Mark:"Should i help?"

"Maybe you could help me to search the baggages for lighters or matches?" Ethan suggested.
He was to feel a little bit tired, there was plenty of bags, and it would take time if he had to open all of them by himself. It would go faster if someone helped him.
He saw Ivory who was trying to sleep and was shivering. Not knowing about her phobia, he assume she was cold.
"We'll try to find another blanket for you, too." he said to the girl before starting to rummage in the baggages he could find.
