Defensively he threw his arms up, covering his face from the blades. The first hit his left forearm, the second his right hand and the last finding itself burried in his abdomen. Dazed he staggered back a step looking down at his injuries as blood seeped into the robes he wore. He coughed a bit, placing a hand lightly on the blade lodged in his stomach. He wanted to cry, though not from pain no more form the disappointment Toril would see in him. He couldn't do anything right! Here he was trying to help and what happens? He goes and gets himself killed! Gritting his teeth he lowered his hands again, this time small bouts of electricity flowing through them. When conjoined the lightning bolt shot from his hands and hit the man.

"Sh*t!" Toril cursed skillfully hopping from the window, drawing her weapon. As the lightning struck the man she rushed towards him, swinging the sword towards him.

The man fell the to ground, dead before he hit the mud. His cloak falling off.

Samie looked out the window, shivering, seeing the man who saved her life laying on the mud. She jumped back out of the window, seeing the threat was gone. She knelt beside the man, Onmund, grabbing the cloak off the dead man. She ripped pieces off and wrapped them around his wounds. Samie threw the knives off to the side, careful not to hurt him. "Is she your wife? How long have you been together?" She asked Onmund many other questions, trying to get him talking.

As the man fell she turned to comfort her husband only to find the girl already doing so. A small twinge of anger struck her though she let it slide for now. "We should get him inside." Toril said taking notice to the rain only now.

He hardly felt himself collapsed, though as the rain soaked his robes as well as the mud he shivered slightly. The pain came then, mainly when she pulled away the knives but grew with each passing second. "T-Toril is my wife yes..." he stammered fighting back tears. "We've been married almost two years..."

"Okay, good, good, let's get you inside," Samie turned to look at Toril, seeing something flash in her eyes for a split-second. "I'm going to need you to work with me, Onmund, is it? I'm Samie. You are going to need to stand on three so that we can get you inside and dry." Samie put her arm behind him and slowly counted to three, preparing herself for the walk. "Toril, right? Can you get on the other side and help?"

Her eyes narrowed for a moment, though she said nothing. "I-i don't know if I can stand..." The man answered fighting to keep from crying. Lightly Toril approached placing a hand on his shoulder before lefting him up. Pain shot through the wound in his causing him to grip her tunic to keep from crying out. It was fine..he was going to be fine...right?
"Open the door." Toril said simply as she made her way back to the inn. It was going to be a long night...

Samie bit her cheek out of anger and opened the inn door, then closing it behind them. She helped them to the stairs, then went to the inn owner in the back of the bar, asking for towels. She came back out with four clean towels, then made her way up the stairs to the room she believed was Onmund's. Samie walked in, setting the towels down,"How bad is he bleeding?"

"Pretty bad." The woman answered having taken the mage's robes off. Under he was dressed in a simple tunic, though even that had been taken off. Now he lay on the bed, bare chested as she held the shirt of the worst of the wounds. He himself was on the verge of unconsciousness.

Samie sucked in a breath, knowing this was partly her fault. She took one of the towels and stuck it out the window to get it damp and dabbed it on his wounds. "Don't you know some kind of healing spell or something? Isn't that what y'all do?" She took his dirty cloak and set it in the window seal, hoping the rain would wash it of the blood.

"I do, but my magic is far weaker than his. At best I can heal one partially though not all." The woman answered raising the shirt to see if the bleeding had slowed any. It had though not enough...panic was sinking in. He still had two other bleeding wounds as well yet she was nearly powerless to help. She didn't want to know what it would be like without him...

"Sh*t, Sh*t, Sh*t," Samie grabbed another towel and wrapped it around his arm wound as tight as she could to try and stop the bleeding. Her father had taught her how to heal minor stab wounds, being a pirate and all, but nothing this large. "Just keep adding pressure, it should stop the bleeding. If not then I don't know." Samie tried to keep her eyes away from his shirtless body and on his wounds, but failed many times, and just hoped Toril wouldn't notice.
