Serenity, upon hearing the tune start, covered her ears, knowing this is how mermaids lured sailors to their deaths. "Belle, no! stop!" Serenity shouted, tackling her into the sand "Cover your ears"
After watching a few more moments of nothing happening, Edenia began to sing too, singing the same tune as Alyssa, but in a slightly higher pitch.

Belle pulled Serenity's hands off of her ears. "Listen," she said, staring st hrr eyes, which were blank.
Alyssa harmonized with her friend, and heard the splash as Belle walked into the water, sloshing up to her waist.

Serenity knew the song was bad... but, she couldn't think right, and it felt like it was coming from inside her head... the ocean, she had to go closer, closer to the voices.
Karrina, wanting to mess with the humans for a little while longer, picked up a rock. Staying hidden, she threw it, hitting Alyssa in the forehead. Edenia gasped in shock seeing her friend get hit, causing her song to stop.
(Sorry fam, gotta keep this going somehow)

Alyssa's tune wavered, and a large welt formed, ugly and bloody, but she sang with fierceness.
Belle swam to the source of the song, dazed and barely moving her arms.

Karrina sighed, tying her hair up and putting some mud on her face to disguise herself. She grabbed one of the harpoons from Serenity's box, hurling one at Alyssa as Edenia shrieked, ducking back under the surface. Karrina ran back into hiding

(I use the 'only ping who you're interacting with' sort of thing, since it's pretty annoying getting pinged for things you have nothing to do with)

Tala dodged the harpoon as she stopped singing.......The Princess!She turned around and saw her "Edenia! We have to go!"

Alyssa was jerked back by the force of the spear in her shoulder. "Edenia!" The human's started swimming back. Her quarterstaff fell into the depths as her right arm went slack.

"Alyssa!" Edenia shrieked, holding her friend in her arms under the water. "We'll finish this later... Tala! go ahead and make sure a med bay room is open for Alyssa, this needs to be fixed ASAP" Edenia shouted
