"There's no use in worrying about him now. There's nothing you can do from here. Just focus on getting out. That's more useful than worrying," Winry said. After a pause she added, "Believe me, I know."

*Scar*

"I'm not worried, just frustrated I got myself into this mess. I could have taken those cops if I had just..." I trail off and stare down at my hands.

"Well that's just as unhelpful as worrying dude. You can't control the past," Winry said, snorting. It was getting hotter so she pulled her shoulder-length hair back into a ponytail. "Lord knows I could have gotten away if I had done it differently," she said, shaking her head with a laugh.

*Scar*

"I let them catch me. I don't regret it really, I know it couldn't have turned out differently no matter how much I wish it could" I shrug.

"Anyways, the past really doesn't matter right now," Winry said, not wanting to get caught up in daydreams. "I want to know where we are exactly. We can't exactly run away if we don't know where we're running from."

"Honey," she drawled, rolling her eyes. "If you did all those things, you would be in some place way worse by now. What's your name, kid?"

*Scar*

"Easy, we are in the middle of nowhere" I say sarcastically. I stand up and begin to pace, examining the surroundings. Mostly dead trees. I pull a hunk of wood off a dead tree and begin to carve with my pocketknife, something I normally do when I am lost in thought.

"Yeah, yeah," Winry said, waving a hand dismissively. "Then again, I could just wait it out. I don't exactly want to be on the run from the law for my entire life."

*Scar*

I laugh.
"I've been on the run my whole life, why change now?" I grin in a slightly evil way. I hold up my finished carving, a small but very realistic wolf. I sigh and stuff it in my pocket with my pocketknife and my necklace, knowing a few other carving sit in that pocket as well.

Winry sighed and flopped down cross-legged onto the ground. "It's way too flat here," she groused, looking around them.
