I am sitting up in bed when my friend enters the room. I already have a soft armchair pulled up for her, and I am calmly eating chocolate pudding and a mango. "What's your name?" I say, realizing I don't know hers, "because it would be kind of helpful."

"Crystal. Crystal Smart." I say. I go to the Hotel's website. You have blocked. Says the screen. "What?!" I yell. I furiously type in codes. Firewall, firewall, block, firewall, and blah, blah, blah. Finally, I hack into it. I read the info. "Oh, what!?" I bang the table. It says that the Hotel used to be near a torture chamber. Rumors were people went in the Hotel, and never came out. People who did, we're insane for life.

I look at here, my mouth frozen in a perfect o, my eyebrows lifted and my face full of surprise. "What does that mean?" I ask, sounding calmer then I really was, "Are we really...trapped?!"

"I-it says the guests were tortured after their first," I say, "month!" I wonder. Guests stay here for a month? I read more. "If the guests try to escape, they would have to get past the force field in The Escape tunnel in room 50! Wait. This room 50!" I exclaim.

"Yes," I said, slow on the intake, "So what does this mean exactly? Why can't we just walk out the front door?"

Slowly I enter my new room, making sure that there isn't anyone else in there. As soon as I'm sure, I plop on the bed with a sigh. Then get back up and out ther door so I can wander through the halls and see what I am up against.

"I don't know. But we have to start searching for the passage!" I say. I move to the wall, feeling for any cracks.

I stand up and join her feeling along the wall. I push aside dressers. I remove paintings, and the kick pillows out of the way but I find nothing. I search until my hands can't go on, out the window, the sun is rising, and realize I have not slept for about twenty four hours. I yawn.

I look at the tired girl. "You can sleep. I'll keep looking." I say. I crawl under bed. I start to fall. "Yaaaiii" I scream as I fall.

I run to her under the bed. I push the bed away, "Are you okay? I yell down the pit.
