Thistle looked at her in amusement, "Comfortable?"

'Yes quiet comfortable. Thank you." the she blew some fur out of her eyes and continued to lay there like a rock soaking the warm towel.

(Thistle, Abandoned Dairy Farm)

"You're welcome," he said, turning off the water, "You can rest if you'd like. There isn't a whole lot to do other than catch mice, but even then there isn't a whole lot around now that cold season is coming. I was going to do the same before you came, so we might as well just nap together."

"Ah thank you. A nap sounds quite nice." She righted herself and stretched leaping of the towel and counter altogether. She landed on the floor her lithe body's muscles rippled slightly when she briskly spun around to face him waiting for him to come down.





Back at camp....

The nursery shook, a support stone had fractured. Willowpool opened her eyes and stood up herding her kits beneath her. "Gingerkit go out the entrance, Silverkit follow your sister. Dewkit follow me through the exit." the sisters nodded and raced through the entrance as Willowpool herded Dewkit out the exit. When she passed through the exit the nursery gave way. She choked and collapsed. Her vision went dim as blood pooled around her. She heard Dewkit yowling and saw her beloved Stormstar charge across the clearing. "WILLOWPOOL NOOO!" He crouched next to her. "Please, don't leave me...I-I need you Willowpool. Our kits need you." Willowpool coughed and weakly replied. "Good bye my love. I'll always be here..." Stormstar wailed at the sky then hung his head low burying it into Willowpool's cold pelt. Her kits rushed up to her body and her mate and young began too groom her. Her entire clan, minus border patrol, crouched by her and shared tongues with her one last time.

(Thistle, Abandoned Dairy Farm)

Hopping off the counter, Thistle said, "Since... the two-legs left, I've been able to do things I wasn'the allowed to before, like sleep on their nests. They're much better than the towels."

Swishing his tail, he lead the way to the staircase, "Come upstairs with me and I'll show you what I mean."

Featheredtail silently followed him. There was almost nothing covering the walling of the two-leg nest.
