Tails follows with his fur having blotches of ink on it too. Kini eventually got up and followed.

Sonic curled up before he hit the the ground, rolled back a bit, then sprang to his feet again as if he didn't notice. "Sure they do!" He insisted, gesturing to his fur. "Black spots..." He waved over at Tails. "Black spots..." He finally pointed to Kini. "Black spots.*" The hedgehog concluded.

(*In hindsight, the amount of times the phrase 'Black spots' is used here is enough to send most pirates fleeing for the hills.)
