Before she follows them she apologizes for Grim's rude behavior. "He's a mean kitty." She smiles gently, suddenly handing the kid a cat made out of vines and sticks.

She follows.

There were faces peering at them from the trunks of the trees, women with beady black eyes. Puck blew kisses at a few of them, and Ash bowed his head respectfully as they passed. Even Grimalkin nodded to the faces in the trees.

After nearly an hour of walking, they reached the city streets

She stays by them, not saying a word.

"These folk are weird..." She whispers, looking down.

None of them said anything for a moment, Ash giving Claire a pointed look. New Orleans pulsed with life and activity. Rustic shops and buildings lined the street, many stacked two or three stories atop one another with railings and verandas overlooking the sidewalk, Strains of jazz music drifted down the street as well as the spicy smell of Cajun food.

She stays quiet.

She meets his gaze, frowning. "What?"

Before Ash could answer, Grim said, "We have to get to the French Quarter. One of you, find us some transportation."
"Where exactly are we going?" Ash questioned as Puck flagged down a carriage pulled by a sleepy-looking red mule.

She looks at Grim expectantly.
