"T' be honest, no clue. I just came here right 'way when the mayor called a meeting. Ma'be got two hours o' sleep max." Snekly yawned. "I'm thinking a joker decided t' pour a whole bag o' ice on my roof or something."
"Mmm, I'm a tad too tired t' remember, but who was the one that worked at the apple fields 'gain besides Jackie?"

"Earth, but he's got his own orchard."
Yep. The two's of us are competitors. Hope I'm not too late to help, by the way, took longer to move cider barrels than we was prepared for, since we didn't have Jackie to help...

"Oh hello, are you one of Jackie's family members?" Echo tipped her head down in a bow. "I'm sorry for your loss, and I'm sorry we couldn't stop the murderers"

Esmeray is once again sitting alone, off to the side. She has a small canvas under a wing and a paintbrush stuck in her feathers, having brought several art supplies to the meeting. She studies her painting, which depicts a cat fitting the description she had given the day before.
"I don't know about you, but I'm just wondering why the murderers chose Jackie as their next victim. After all, some people, myself included, were suspicious of him yesterday," she comments, not looking up from her work. "And although I suppose killing their accusers wouldn't have looked good on murderers, someone could've killed said accusers to try to frame innocent villagers. And if the accused were really murderers, they could've killed them and lied, saying that someone did try to frame them. No one who accused anyone yesterday is dead right now, though, so that doesn't really get us anywhere."
She pauses for a second, rolling her paintbrush thoughtfully between her talons. "But... if they aren't the killers, there would be no reason for the actual killers not to kill the accusers and blame it on the accused. So maybe the people who were accused yesterday really are the murderers. Or, at least, a part of their group."

"This one really is a mystery. From the murder itself to the victim, this makes no sense."
Echo swished her tail in front of her. "Also, I believe Jackie used they/them pronouns, and you're right, a few people were suspicious of them"

This is true. However I wouldn't kill him, or his family. Our orchards are far apart, mines at the East of Sylestivale.

"Them." Echo corrected. "You didn't kill them."
She turned to look at Earth. "I'm not accusing you, but just for the record what were you doing last night?"

"Ah, sorry, I have trouble remembering such things," Esmeray says apologetically. Then, she adds, "Oh, and what's going on with you, Niki, and Parfolium, if you don't mind me asking? Parfolium's a suspect, and Niki was suspicious of you earlier, yet you guys - especially you and Niki - seem awfully close now."

Sleeping, obviously. I need energy to pick apples. And to make sure nobody's stealing. (I honestly didn't check what pronouns From used, apologizes)

"Ah, well Niki and I are neighbors, so we had to have a conversation over whatever noises were heard on the first night because it wasn't the door and we were concerned. Purfolium, on the other hand, is a caretaking professional and I needed her opinion on something personal. Other than that, nothing's happening."Echo tipped her head at Esmeray's canvas. "How did the cat painting from yesterday go?"
