You realize the glow is coming from glow-worms. They are emitting a faint hissing sound. You begin to doubt yourself. Do you continue or turn around?

Lorelai studies the glow worms for a moment, before slowly continuing down the tunnel. she frequently glances up and around to watch the position of the glow worms despite her neck still aching

A loud hiss and a splash sounds at the end of the tunnel. You can hear something large slithering around, followed by another hiss. It seems to be coming towards you.

Lorelai, suddenly much more uncertian about her choice, start slowly backing out of the tunnel. she still uses her sword for support, and glances back for a moment before each step

Someone grabs you by the arm and drags you out.
It's a woman. "Run, girl! Naio's been waiting for ages now! You chose the basilisk's lair, of course...Naio loves his little games, keeping a basilisk in there, the idiot." she snaps, hurrying you out, not seeming to notice your nausea. "Go on, run faster, unless you want your face corroded by acid."

Lorelai, startled, falls. She pushed herself up and stumbles as quickly as she can down the other tunnel. She bumps into the walls a few times in her rush. She winces each time, brusies have already formed from the light leap and each fall hurts.

The woman drags you down the other tunnel. "Naio, you idiot! I've told you to remove that basilisk how many times? It nearly killed that girl who Arthene sent! Get your magic behind out here, Arcturus might have light leaped her and she looks as if she's going to be sick any minute now!" she yells, stomping into a dimly lit cave-room.

Lorelai collapses, holding herself against the wall. She rubs her forehead with one hand
"Thank you" She manages to choke out. She uses the wall to steady herself until her head clears some more. Still dizzy and nausous, she is at least able to support herself. Once her vision clears slightly, she looks around the room.

A young man - who looks young at least - leaps to his feet. "Ah, hello! You must be Lorelai, sent by Arthene, bound by a god's contract to save all realms from the magpies, yes? I am Naio Kaisper, and I naturally assume you were looking for me. As all human mortals do, eventually. I apologize for the basilisk. His name is Kai, and he's really quite friendly. And I apologize for Cora -" he nods at the woman, who scowls - "because she is my assistant, but a very stern and annoying woman." He talks very fast, and you have to listen hard to catch every word.

Lorelai blinks, trying to focus. She holds up one hand in a 'wait a moment' gesture and slides down the wall to a sitting position, leaning on the wall, as her nausea increases again. Once she feel a bit better, she stands back up and bows her head
"Hello sir" She responds "How did you know all that? Even my name!"
