*raps knuckles on imaginary door* Hey, you know what, I think I'm going to drop out of the LoL-rp thing. No offense, but you guys are pretty active roleplayers who seem to have your hands full. I don't really want to be...idk. I dunno i'm dropping out though.

Edit: What I mean to say was, your guys attention is too spread out for my tastes. I'm *absolutely* not demanding you pay attention to me or whtv, I just mean that yall have many other things going and honestly... i don't want to bother getting too invested in an rp you guys are just toying with. Add to the fact that you all are familiar with eachothers characters and just-- yeah I don't think this is going to work. Its probably best you don't contact me in the future for group prps either. Once again, nothing against you guys, its just becoming a little stiffling for me. Especially after the last one kind of sunk...and all the other private rp's ive started myself have kind of got flushed xD)

And I get *really* invested in roleplays, so being in ones that die...is kind of discouraging and tiring.

Appearance: Inky black hair kept in a slender, low, ponytail, reaches his shoulder blades. Sickly pale, bright green eyes with reflective purple-burgandy pupils. Quite a few random scars from god-knows-what. Petite white fangs that aren't actually any bigger than human canine teeth, just incredibly sharp.
Clothes: Worn black leather duster coat with a cropped black fur collar (buttoned up) . Chocolate military shirt underneath. Black cargo pants with the maximum amount of pockets you could have before it didn't actually qualify as a pair of pants anymore. Chocolate nightfall uggs. All of his knives are hidden in his pockets or inside his coat, so you don't see them.

Personality: Brash and reckless, he fights first and asks questions later. He's rough around the edges and generally snappy. Will never let go of a grudge if you've personally offended him. Probably a little stupider than his brother, but it never mattered anyway because he's driven. Very likely to tell you to 'shut the ****** up' if he doesn't like you-- which is most of the time because he's not really into the whole "friends" thing. You have to earn that. Probably a masochist considering he's flammable (more than people usually would be). Don't get him wrong though, if you prove your usefulness he will listen to you willingly, he's not that stupid to think he's the best at everything.

Powers and Skills: Walking bonfire. Very tight, very precise control. He could fully control every flame of a forestfire if he started it. He can't concentrate the heat or anything though, its just fire. Really.

Equipment: Knives, knives, and knives. Big knives, small knives, long knives, short knives. He has an insane amount of blades on his person, you don't want to know.

Backstory: He was rescued from a vampire coven when he was very young and raised by the Woods family, a lineage of sorcerers with elf blood. The fledgling sorcerer that rescued him, Oak Woods, was like his older brother but died of an incurable sickness when Cypress was 13. Since then he has learned who his real parents are, and has vowed to hunt down and kill his scum-bag of a vampire father. He also learned that he has a harpy step-brother (but in their minds, they're just brothers). He was leader of Team Bloodwood while he attended the Northern Academy.

Yo abt/species and abilities. For species, I'm curious bc both my boys above (i decided to use some characters I already have set up pretty much. My Bad-boy and my Complicated-boy.) Canon, they are a vampire and harpy respectively. Is that acceptable?

And abilities, lowkey or just however they normaly would be? By that I mean shoukd they be weak? The universe these two come from is very magicky-fantasy so while their abilities arent OP there, I don't want them to be too--idk you know what I mean i think.

Honestly, not sure. I'm considering considering filing any non-human characters under the realm of being mutants or something
Kinda where I'm stuck too considering I was wanting to use one of my characters there from my own sci-fi universe who makes things a little problematic since he's a monk who can control the element of wind and draws his power from the universe like a Jedi.

Not sure how I want to handle any magic and fantasy elements/species here (if there is any), so I'm really just open for suggestions (would help me write an intro too)

Maybe just make powers practical? Like Cypress is a fire-boyo and to go along with his title, he can control huge fires (like forest-fire huge. He is also canon a vamp which are known to burn like grease rags xD) as long as he started it. In this case maybe he can have a bit more control so that maybe he could concentrate it and used it akin to a welder or plasma cutter xD The problem with tamping down Cypress' ability, is it interferes with Reuvans powers.

Reu's already weak to begin with- so i dont need to adjust his ability. Why is his ability weak? Well he's a special (read:complicated. he is my most problematic OC in the fact that he's so damn hard to write consistently without adding or taking away smth) case where he has a little power over all elements. So you can see why id weaken that substantially xD However if I weaken Cypress' fire to the same extent...well their fire abilities become very similar, which would basically render Cypress' ability useless.

Idk I'm really starting to get reluctant on this setting in general now since I can't make it make any sense in my head with magic powers and fantasy species without throwing off the balance of everything or just making it totally nonsensical. Doing way too much at once.

Combining post apoc/sci-fi/ and fantasy all in one just doesn't work for me the more I try to make it work and it's stressing me out. Magic in a sci-fi setting kinda has to be explained and it can't really just.. happen. Not without ruining the point of tech in the setting honestly.

It also runs very close to my own worldbuilding project which is another problem.
My own universe which is a fantasy sci-fi hybrid along the lines of Star Trek, Star Wars, and Earthbound with some mild Call of Cthulhu elements.
But basically in that one, the universe is starting to fall apart because an alien race cracked the secret to manipulating the physical properties of the universe through psychic chi powers and it got leaked to other species.
Now it's sort of a magical arms race to keep all the species from killing themselves in war and to keep these high powered magical or occasionally extradimensional beings (known as Empyreans) from capitalizing off the destruction or entering into it through the pockets of destabilization forming.

Which.. yeah
Kinda runs cyberpunk/post apoc in a way when we keep running into societies running themselves into the ground. I'm also burned out more or less on writing this type of setting because I've been doing in for 6 years and was sort of looking for a break from it

That give me very positive vibes, like a huge sigh of relief, like the characters just got over a huge hill. They reached the end of their journey...well thats the end anyway xD Now we have to figure out what thier journey is. You don't mind if I go to google for ideas do you?
