I grew up in the Deep South, Wildcat. Claxton Fruitcakes have been around over 100 years and are not only a feature of Christmas down there. All the little stores selling Southern souvenirs along the interstate highways sell these fruitcakes as "iconic Southern fruitcakes." For once, they are telling the truth--
I certainly don't require that the female's name be Southern, but another famous fruitcake brand--or, really, any word that immediately makes one think "fruitcake"--is what I'm hoping for. Types of fruitcake in non-English-speaking countries could work, too, but I don't know much about them.
Wikipedia's article on fruitcake actually mentions the Claxton Fruitcake, and also the Collin Street Fruitcake. I remember seeing lots of Collin Street fruitcakes for sale the times that I have traveled through Texas. But I just can't see naming a pretty mare "Collin Street." There must be some other terms, concepts, or brands that immediately make lots of people think fruitcake.
Help, everybody?

Hm. Aaron, this pretty girl has Vis Bunny Tail and Vis Ram Horns--
How about naming her "Wolpertinger" or "Raurackl" ? These are two words for the same mythical creature: a forest spirit that looks like a horned hare or rabbit. I think Wolpertinger is the more melodic-sounding name.

That's actually a super cool name! I love it.
That is now her name.
Edit: And I'm gonna use the other one for my male.
Thanks a bunch.

Doesn't have to be a multi-word name, Atomic. For Tamed pets, I like names that have some connection to their traits, or to their Theme if they have one. For example, if a pet has a Carried or Hidden trait that I don't like, I often give it a name that I will connect to the idea of deception or lying, to remind me that the trait is there when I go to breed the pet.
And sometimes I pick a name just because I like the name or it describes the pet. For example, if you page back, you'll see that I picked the name "Malibu Sky" for a blue-and-white Qitari. It just so happens that Malibu is the name of that particular shade of blue.
I thought of naming the Maenad qitari stallion "Thyrsos," because of his horn. A thyrsos is a type of wand that the the historic maenads would carry. But I couldn't think of a comparable name for the mare.
