My breath caught in my throat as the growls began. Oh goodness, I knew I should have gone through he balcony! I shuddered, closing my eyes tight. Yep, I was gonna die. I held this belief for several long seconds... until the screams turned to giggles and I realized there were no sounds of battle. I opened a single eye, peeking out. As I did so, I felt something ram into me and I fell back. Yelping, I threw my hands up, but the thing just nosed past my hands and started... licking my face.

shaking and spitting, I sat up. A lupora sat in front of me, tail wagging and tongue hanging out the side of it's mouth. The tongue wiggled as it tried to reach my face, and I burst out laughing at the scene. More sylesti crowded near me, all begging for attention. "Awww, you guys are so cute!" I glanced around. Everyone was taking their leave. I wanted to go with them... But I also wanted to keep all the cuddly and fluffy sylesti.

Standing, I delivered more pets. "I have to go," I said softly. "I promise, I'll be back." I may not be able to take them home, but I could at least become their friend. I padded out of the room, examining the choices I was presented with. Doors again. Doors doors doors. I was honestly sick of doors. I was not going to go through a window either. Ugh. so. pathway it is! I whistled to my sylesti, bouncing outside. My companions breathed in the clear of the air, happy to be outside.

Yay.

(stone pathway to the forest. My instinct said balcony the first time and then I went to my brother and I listened to him. I'm going with my instinct again.

Forward please

Nightstarre carefully considered her options. She was a little ashamed of her fearful instinct which had lead her to the safety of the balcony, when she had such bold and seasoned fighters at her back.

"Well, are we treasure hunters or whiney-stay-at-home pansies?", Nightstarre asked her sylesties. She heard roars, whinnies, and growls of disapproval from her sylesties at the thought that they were not bold and fearsome explorers.

To the right through the forest we go.

(Ahh..I meant left-- I am a bit directionally challenged)

ROUND FIVE!

Nyoka, Willowivy, Jadelion, Fang, Winter, Keanai, and Nightstarre head down the path into the woods. Confident about their decision, they trot down the path. However, soon the path ends and thick trees surround them. Unsure of where to go, the group wanders about, not wanting get lost. The group stumbles into a clearing. The trees are so dense that passing through them is impossible. As everyone stands in the clearing, two definite paths can be seen. One path seems dark and heads farther from the direction of the house. The path on the right looks windy but seems to be winding back towards the house.

Mewzzer, Scarlettkitsune, Cuddly21223, and Ivodince run to the overgrown, foreboding door. They pause outside it, unsure if they really want to continue. But so far, the unexpected seems to do well so they start pulling vines down to free the door. Soon, they have a pile of tinder. Opening the door slowly, a blast of cool dampness meets the small group. Taken aback, everyone slowly enters this new room. Well, turns out it doesn't seem like a room at all. If it was a room at one time, that was no longer the case as a cavern opened up before them, revealing stalactites and stalagmites. Not only are there natural structures, but in the middle of the cavern, giving off enormous amounts of power and light is this huge artifact towering overhead. What kind of house is this? Truly afraid, the group approaches. Surely, something so beautiful and warm could not be dangerous. Closer they edge, the bright light casts long, distorted shadows behind them, which appear ghoulish in nature and hideous. They climb the cave stones to reach the center artifact. The rush of wind, energy, and light surrounding the two pieces of what looked like metal is almost too much for the group to bear. But with the help of their sylesties, they fight through the wind and enter the center. The brightness intensifies and the roar of the wind is deafening. Just when everyone cannot handle the extraordinary conditions, everything suddenly stops: the roaring, the wind, and even the light has dimmed so much it becomes difficult to see. Actually, there seems to be a subtle glow from everyone's packs. Hurriedly, they all discover an essence of a sylesti inhabiting the bags.

Mikazukichan and Okapilover7 carefully unlock the broken window. It is still much too high for them to clamber in so they utilize the metal patio chairs. The chair is so unstable and rickety. Maybe this was the wrong path to pick. As the two sit thinking, a rush of pounding footsteps can be heard. What is coming for them? Hurriedly, they try the chair again but in their haste, it starts to topple and they begin to fall. Except, there was no fall; instead, a sylesti arrived just in time to brace the chair. It seems a couple of sylesties are just bound and determined to make a new, permanent friend.

Mikazukichan and Okapilover7 find themselves in a dusty old room with junk everywhere. Ahead of them are two doors. They look identical except one is white, and the other is dark. Either one, (or both for that matter), could lead to a closet, a hall, a kitchen, their doom, treasure, or something more.
