"The coast?" Thorn's voice is slightly surprised. "Why do you wish to venture there? I had thought you wished to stay here, and tame one of them." She motions towards the small, glowing creatures.

I shake my head. "I never wished to tame one. Only to gain some wisdom. They are... far smarter than me and trying to "tame" on would not be wise. They are free, and I feel they should stay that way," I say.

"There's a small town near the coast; I recommend you stay there for a night and collect some supplies." She pauses, scanning you from head to tow before asking, "I believe you do not have any currency to purchase?"

At first, I ponder. I have two essences in my possession at the moment, and I'm not sure which one to give her. Both are quite rare. One I captured from a hatchling Aredini while walking through the palace hatchery, the other I acquired from defeating a wild Morkko. I summon them and they hover around my head. I look to her
"Which would you prefer?" I ask finally.
