"Well that's certainly reassuring," Ben said with sarcasm. "Warm. Lodging. Now," Amani said and dragged Ben away to find some place to stay.
There was a general store. A woman wearing an apron was busy putting cakes on display for her bakery. A small restaurant nearby was open. There were also dark blue banners on the buildings with the aurora lights depicted on them. There was also a projector of the aurora lights and a description underneath it, talking about the aurora lights and how the town would be celebrating this with food and some free entertainment.

She made the wild guess the lights would be appearing tonight. It would be a nice spectacle.

(Found out that the aurora lights don't happen in winter. Oopsies. Well, it's up to you if Lilja remembers this fact.)
Someone walked past them and planted a small piece of paper into Lilja's hand.
They know you're here.
Go to the clock tower.
Whoever gave Lilja this note has already disappeared.

She read the note and sighed, crumpling it up in her hand. She turned and began walking towards the clock tower. She wasn't sure if this was a trap or not, but she hoped it wasn't.

(I'm not a reliable source of info, you should probably search it up for yourself, but here: "The aurora is at its most active around the equinoxes in March and September." Also, I forgot to write in, "at midnight" for the note, welp-)
Sabrina tagged along, unaware of what was going on. The clock tower was tall and old. Nobody seemed to be attacking Lilja yet. Suddenly Lilja and Sabrina were pulled inside without warning and magic helped ensure nobody witnessed what had just happened.
A couple of guards were inside, though they were not in the same uniform as the guards posted outside of the town's gates. They were holding spears and one was equipped with a revolver. The one who pulled them in let go, and gave an apprehensive look at Sabrina before turning to Lilja.
"I see you have received our note. We believe that the organization that sent an assassin to kill you is the same organization that did the same for the family members of the person we are guarding. First things first, however, before we give you any further information, do you trust her?" He said and looked at Sabrina again.
Sabrina seemed to be a bit shocked about what she was hearing.

(i mean...what if it is march and or September? they are in the mountains, and its usually cold all the time, so...)
Micheal growled and took off as well after hearing the distant flap of wings. Liljah has an advantage during this early winter day, when ice magic was boosted and the skies were cloudy and the ground mostly covered in snow, letting her scales blend in with the clouds (at least somewhat) or snow. But Micheal was adamant and there wasn't anyone here to stop him. He searched around for the ice dragon.
(It's early winter. I think around two days have passed in the roleplay.)
"Do not repeat any of the information we give you outside of this clock tower. There may be spies lurking around. Do you understand?" he said. Sabrina slowly nodded.
