Celeste tried to hide her laughter. "Ya, ya for sure." She commented. She herself had seen many a battle, and survived nonetheless. Unlikely that this random kid could kill her. "Well, I think I'll be headed home." she said as she took off.

She flew back to her home, just within the shadow-bird village (You didn't specify in what for of community they live in, so I went with Village) She flew past a few birds she knew and greeted them. Before long, she was at her home.

(they have mostly large military bases and camps, sometimes cities come out of those)
It's almost morning. As shadowbirds are nocturnally-leaning crepuscular birds (awake mostly at dawn and dusk but also commonly awake at night), that means it's almost time for her to rest.
