He has that dumb look on his face again. Coriander thought, a smile making its way across his face as he looked at him. Not that he didn't like it, he actually sort of enjoyed Theo's vivid expressions. He left his jackets off momentarily, enjoying the cool air a bit. It got stuffy and hot in those jackets, and he didn't like being constricted, at all.
Cori sort of snapped out of it when the bell rang, and slid both jackets back, making sure they were secure and zipped up before he turned to Theo with a little bit of a surprised expression.
"Honestly, is the school trying to send a message to us? Like "Hey, this is your friend now, you'll have every class with him." I have english next by chance."
Suddenly, a really stupid thought crossed his mind. What if Theo really could read minds like he joked about earlier? It would make sense. But he couldn't be able to, right? Or else he would know about my little situation. Wait a minute, you sound stupid. People can't read minds.

Terrance bit his lip. "I'm not trying to not be fun, but I don't like a lot of attention on me. You're uh..." He turned, facing the other boy in the hall. "You're a nice person and I don't dislike you, but you shouldn't stick to me. I have a study period next so..." He shrugged one shoulder like that might end the conversation, but then, it was precisely the fact that he didn't dislike the other boy that he felt bothered.

Theo laughed as he hurried back to the locker room, changing and meeting Coriander in the hall again. "This really is like fate. Maybe...a little more like fate than I thought before?" For a brief second, he was overwhelmed with the desire to turn off his power and learn information in an ordinary way, to maybe stop getting surprised like this. He rarely desired such things though and he brushed the idea away. "I was thinking that after school we could hang out. I'm serious that I'll let you in on my secret if you let me in on yours."

They reached the English classroom by then though so it was hard to continue the conversation. Still, Theo really hoped that Cori would take him up on the offer this time.

"Well, I guess we both just got lucky, lady Fate seems to favor us so far." Coriander laughed, and he seemed to be lost in thought for a moment after he heard of the offer. His mother wouldn't approve, at all. His father, well, his father was pretty distant. Coriander didn't have to wonder why though.
Dad's just disappointed he is the father to a devil-child. If they were so disappointed, why not just give me up and put me out for adoption? Make me someone else's problem. He thought with a sour expression, before focusing his attention back to Theo.
"You wouldn't look at me the same if I told you." He said with a bit of a distant tone, stating straight ahead of him. He didn't want to disappoint anyone else, let alone lose a friend he just made. "I'm sure your secret isn't bad like mine is."

"pe for me, and also you looked lonely and i need some one to stick to. People might get suspicions if you don't hang out with anyone." he said swerving right in front of him walking backwards, this boy really wasn't about to give up with out a fight.

Terrance felt his face heat up as he ducked his head. Lonely? Did he really look that way? He had a purpose and no need to make friends in this country, but...? He shook the thought away. "Thank you, but I'll be fine," he murmured. "I hope we get the chance to talk again though." And he meant it even as he sprinted down the hall, to find a nice area to study.

"It's a matter of perspective, I guess," Theo said with a distant smile as he sat, his eyes knowing and surprisingly serious, unlike his usual playful smile. He personally didn't think of his secret as a dangerous one, but he was strange, the sort of person that made others recoil as he invaded their privacy. He didn't think of Coriander as unpleasant either. In fact, he loved the mystery and danger that seemed to come with the other boy's secret, but how could he prove that without saying it outright? Maybe that was what he would do. The teacher was already starting class but he still managed to whisper a last statement before facing the front.

"I can't say right now, but I promise I won't hate your secret. I did say we're peas in a pod, didn't I? Keep that in mind."

nikko giggled jumping up and down happy running to class. he changed into some shorts and a t-shirt and waited.
